Our Federal Government client is actively looking for contracted professionals (Operations Support) to support ongoing service delivery. The organization’s communications and information systems team manages IT and security services, including network administration, hardware and software support, and lifecycle management. The team currently includes three full-time government employees who handle management and core administrative functions.
Roles and Responsibilities
Plan and implement IT upgrades: Prepare and carry out installation, configuration, and optimization of hardware and software systems.
Provide technical support: Respond to service requests and troubleshoot IT and audio-visual (A/V) issues, including diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
Advise and assist users: Offer technical guidance, education, and recommendations to improve system performance and user experience.
Manage IT and A/V assets: Track equipment lifecycles, maintain documentation, ensure cleanliness of work areas, and oversee inventory, moves, and disposals.
Ensure security and coordination: Monitor for viruses or security breaches, collaborate with team leads and stakeholders, and support additional operational or emergent requirements as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
Proof of education (such as a copy of the diploma or certificate) must be provided.
If the education was completed outside Canada, it must be verified by a recognized Canadian credential assessment service.
