Business Analyst

Work model: Remote primarily, within Canada
Contract term: 1 year contract with one year potential extension.

Mandatory Requirements
University degree or two-year diploma in computer science or a related discipline from an accredited post-secondary institution and five (5) years of experience as a business analyst on software development projects.

OR

One-year certificate in computer science or a related discipline from an accredited post-secondary institution and seven (7) years of experience as a business analyst on software development projects.

Desirable

Experience as a dedicated business analyst on agile web-based software development projects.

Experience eliciting and documenting requirements in the form of user stories with acceptance criteria.
Experience leading stakeholder requirements meetings and facilitating agile ceremonies (e.g. story breakdown, backlog refinement, sprint planning) in remote or hybrid work environments.
Experience using collaboration tools such as Miro (or equivalent) and task management tools such as Azure DevOps (or equivalent).
Experience as a business analyst working on large-scale, web-based educational platforms similar to new.learnalberta.ca.
