Job Description

Position: SAP Technical Specialist / Consultant
Work model & location: 3 days office per week in Toronto
Contract term: 1 year initial term, with possible extension

About the Role

We are seeking a technically skilled SAP Technical Specialist / Consultant to support the full implementation of a new ERP system. This individual will collaborate closely with IT, program leaders, and business managers to ensure accurate configuration, testing, and successful adoption across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and monitor progress.

  • Configure ERP systems to align with business processes.

  • Conduct data validation, system testing, and resolve issues.

  • Develop and maintain system documentation, workflows, and SOPs.

  • Train and support end-users through implementation and adoption.

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage upgrades.

  • Support data integrations, reporting, and dashboard creation.

  • Ensure compliance with data integrity, security, and governance policies.

  • Support go-live, hyper-care, and continuous improvement activities.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with SAP S/4HANA full implementation

  • Hand-on data migration lead (oversee extraction, mapping, validation and loading for go-live readiness)
  • Hands-on test lead (test planning, manage test execution for integration and user acceptance testing)
  • Develop and deploy extensions, integrations, and customizations using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
  • Provide technical advice on cloud governance, performance optimization, and extensibility within the S/4HANA Public Cloud model.
  • Provide technical guidance on system upgrades, release management, and change control
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to effectively work with third-party consulting organizations.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • SAP certifications or formal training in ERP platforms.

  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management processes.

  • Experience with system integrations and data migration.
