Job Description

A major public sector client is seeking a DevOps Specialist to support and integrate DevOps services across both cloud and on-premise environments. This is a critical role focused on enabling scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure that supports modern CI/CD practices and agile delivery across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration within agile teams to enhance DevOps capabilities.
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development and QA teams.
  • Standardize reusable pipeline templates for cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Integrate DevSecOps tools such as SonarQube and Veracode into deployment workflows.
  • Provision and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Support IAM, RBAC, Azure AD/B2C, and SSO configurations.
  • Implement monitoring and diagnostics with Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, Kibana, and Elasticsearch.
  • Enable event-driven and self-healing architectures using platforms such as Azure Service Bus and AWS SNS.
  • Lead maintenance planning, performance tuning, and optimization of services.
  • Mentor development teams and contribute to onboarding resources and DevOps best practices.

Must Haves

  • Degree, diploma, or certification in a field related to DevOps, IT, or computer science.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in:
    • Cloud and hybrid (cloud/on-premise) environments.
    • Developing on major cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
    • Managing enterprise-grade production services.
    • CI/CD pipeline development and automation.
    • Supporting cloud-based software development lifecycles.

Nice to Haves

  • 5+ years of experience with:
    • Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or similar.
    • Containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Cloud service optimization and architectural planning.
    • Big data or high-throughput cloud platforms.
