Job Title: AWS Solution Architect 
Location: Remote/Hybrid (as required) 
Contract Duration: 12 Months (with a possibility of extension) 
Expected Start Date: April 1, 2025
Pay rates: $100 - 130/ HR

Job Description: 

Out non-profit industry client in the healthcare sector is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to provide architecture and design expertise for the new National Pharmacy Data Collection System. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Product Delivery Team to implement a robust and scalable solution aligned with business and technical requirements. 

Please note that there is a possibility of additional or follow-up work beyond the initial scope of this Statement of Work. If required, the successful bidder may be asked to provide a quote for the extended work without the need for additional tendering. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead the solution architecture and design for the National Pharmacy Data Collection System. 
• Work closely with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to implement scalable, secure, and efficient solutions. 
• Ensure that the new system meets performance, security, and compliance requirements. 
• Guide the technical team in implementing architectural best practices and patterns. 
• Define and document technical architecture, workflows, and integration strategies. 
• Perform code and architecture reviews, ensuring alignment with industry best practices. 
• Provide mentorship and guidance to development teams on technology choices and design decisions. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.

Required Skills and Experience: 

• Extensive Cloud Expertise – Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including EMR, Redshift, Glue Catalog, Glue ETL, and CloudFormation.
• Big Data Processing & Storage – Proficiency in Spark and Data Lake architectures for efficient large-scale data processing.
• Database Management – Deep understanding of PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora for cloud-based database solutions.
• Data Governance & Optimization – Strong knowledge of data governance best practices, cost optimization strategies, and performance tuning for big data processing.
• Architectural Leadership – Proven ability to design and implement scalable data processing systems, integrating modern cloud technologies while ensuring efficiency and growth readiness.
• Hands-On Development & Collaboration – Ability to contribute technically while leading discussions, collaborating with solution architects, data architects, developers, and business analysts.
